Living My Dream Life: How Travel and Art Keep Me Inspired in My 20s

Writer: Mya MortonMya Morton

There’s something magical about waking up in a new place. Today, I found myself wandering through the colorful streets of Mexico City, the sun shining bright, and the aroma of street tacos wafting through the air. I feel a rush of excitement, knowing I’m living a life that many only dream of.

As an artist, traveling is more than just an escape; it’s a journey of self-discovery. Each city I explore becomes a chapter in my life story, rich with vibrant cultures and diverse people. I remember chatting with a local artist this morning, and as we shared stories over breakfast, I realized how interconnected we all are. Creativity thrives on these shared experiences!

Today, I documented every moment—whether it was a street performer captivating a crowd or the way the sunlight danced off the buildings. It’s in these little moments that I find inspiration for my films. If there’s one thing I’ve learned in my twenties, it’s that adventure doesn’t have to come with a hefty price tag. I’ve mastered the art of budget travel, and I can’t wait to inspire others to embrace their dreams, too!

So here’s to more sunrises in different cities, more laughter with strangers, and more stories waiting to be told!
